Trump supporters are often accused of being idiots that can’t see the flaws in Donald Trump. To be fair, Trump made this an easy notion to sell when he said that he could gun someone down in broad daylight right on 5th Avenue without loosing any supporters. That’s part of the reason that today I am calling out the Trump administration for their ridiculous botched “release” of files related to Jeffery Epstein.
Let me start by stating that this was pointlessly insane. There was simply no reason to do it. Pam Bondi would have been better off just keeping her mouth shut on this particular issue than to do what she did. Just in case you don’t know what happened here, I will say it as clearly as I can.
Last week, Pam Bondi, the former attorney general of Flordia that is now the Attorney General for the entire United States made multiple appearances on Fox News claiming that “The Epstein files are sitting on my desk, and ‘this stuff will make you sick’”. She also said that she’d be releasing it. “Soon”.
Twitter/X erupted into a frenzy as the public demanded that the files be released immediately. After all, Elon Musk famously (and apparently without consulting the president) claimed that “If Trump wins, the Epstein client list will be released”. I remember all too well because I took a lot of heat on Facebook when sharing this. Friends of mine pointed out that this would never actually happen because Trump’s name was all over that data. It’s all too plausible that is the case. I’m no fool. I’ve always known Trump was a very imperfect human being, but thought that it doesn’t matter because the Lord works in mysterious ways and thus he can still do a lot of good. I still tend to hold that belief, but my confidence in the administration has been considerably shaken after this disgraceful debacle.
In one of the lamest PR stunts I’ve ever seen, Pam Bondi handed over a binder with the title “The Epstein Files, Volume I” to “social media influencers” (nobody that I recognized). That was the first red flag, why not just open source the data? Put it on GitHub and let the public figure it out. But that’s not what they did.
An hour later one of those “influencers” announced that there was absolutely nothing in the binder that the public didn’t already know. Understand how absurd what just happened truly is. Not only was the data in the binders all already public, but Pam went one step further. The binders actually contained copies of data that was already publicly available with certain details redacted — details that were not previously redacted!
Think that’s all I need to say. It’s utterly indefensible. A friend of mine called to tell me “Don’t let them psyop you”, and explained that most of the data was from files that anonymous made public after hacking Epstein over a decade ago, and some of it came from various lawsuits over the years. None of it was new. The Trump administration put lipstick and a bow-tie on raw pork and tried to sell it as fresh, hot bacon. I am telling you as someone that tends to support this president that it backfired very badly.
However, by the next day, nobody was talking about it. Everyone was distracted because Trump kicked the Ukrainian president out of the oval office about 45 minutes into a meeting which was supposed to be the first step in bringing that horrible war of attrition to a close. The idea was to provide an avenue for achieving sustainable peace by forging an economic alliance between Ukraine and the United States by granting the US access to it’s rare earth minerals in exchange for security, and to recoup some of the $200 billion that the previous administration just gave away in order to keep the war-drums beating. Russia had agreed to a cease-fire, and the bloodshed should have been over with by now, but Zelensky as of the time I am writing this is not yet fully onboard.
I mean, I get it. I can’t stand Zelensky. He has made a fortune off of the carnage and bloodshed of the war at the expense of the US taxpayer — quite unnecessarily considering early on in the war he had signed a peace agreement with Russia only to back out of it at the request of Joe Biden and Boris Johnson (he sold his country to devil and damned millions of lives — War Is A Racket).
Perhaps he needed to be put in his place, but whatever the case, part of me wonders if the entire ordeal was nothing more than a distraction from the dumpster fire that occurred the day before. “This will certainly make good television”, said the president. Indeed it did. Is the entire globe just a reality TV show? Are we living through “The Apprentice, Version 2”?
But why go through all of the trouble? Literally no human being that I know is buying it. The credibility of the administration was virtually flawless. I had such high hopes, but a precedent was just set; one that makes me assume that the standard for transparency regarding future disclosures (such as the JFK, RFK or MLK assassinations, or the truth behind government cover-ups like September 11th) appears to be one of low caliber.
Simply put, I struggle to see the upside. That’s why I said this was so “pointlessly insane”. But I am not going to let it go. I don’t care how much wild shit happens in the near future. I refuse to be psy-oped. By anyone. So, I am going to continue to call on the president to demand that the attorney general enforce the law and compel the FBI to hand over all the data that hasn’t been shredded yet and release it to the public.
Of course, that’s never to happen. We’re never going to see those files. At the end of the day, and with much regret I must tell you that it seems like all of our leaders are pedophiles. I don’t know why it has to be that. Wouldn’t it be cool if their dirty secrets were a little less dirty? Why can’t it be … oh, i don’t know, black-face? I mean, common. If you feel this way as well, share this post on x with the hashtag #ScamBondi. But don’t get your hopes up. Don’t let them psyop you. The president and the Attorney General just made it abundantly clear that we’re never going to learn anything else about this. And that is a damn shame.
