The Deportation Scam
How is anyone still buying this?
Every time I hear about leftists protesting ICE, I can’t help but to roll my eyes and chuckle. The protesters too often are totally crazed, violent and psychotic. The officers are constantly receiving death threats. All too often, these are not peaceful protests in any sense. But the worst part about it is that these leftists are protesting something that isn’t even happening.
Imagine for the sake of argument that Trump was actually running a deportation operation, rather than a charade to appease whatever is left of his dumbest supporters. In that case, at least I could understand why people would still be protesting such an operation. After all, the right to peacefully assemble and petition the government is absolute. In this case they’d still be misguided, but if they were peaceful, I wouldn’t even bat an eye.
But that’s not the case. The fact of the matter is that for the most part, these ICE operations are purely performative. Trump capitulated to the left after Operation Metro Storm, citing concerns about popularity and the midterms. Even if that was a valid excuse — and it’s not, he still could have just done what he was elected to do — especially considering he did something even more unpopular the next week when he started this insane war with Iran. Trump is just a scam artist. Nobody voted for that, and the public was overwhelmingly against it from day one.
Not to mention that war has done immeasurable damage to The United States. The Straight of Hormuz will be controlled by the Iranians until the end of time. We lost that war, and yet for some reason, we’re still fighting it anyway. Did you know that this war is costing us anywhere from one to two billion dollars per day??!!
Anyway, since the capitulation, the GOP has been instructed to not even use the phrase “mass deportations”. They’re objectively not even happening. The only people being deported are violent criminals, which was already the policy, so, truly, nothing has been accomplished, and much has been destroyed. For nothing.
It’s not just the left. There are still people on the right that seem to think that deportations are still actually happening. It’s incredible. On one hand, you have psychotic leftists that are protesting deportations that are not happening, and on the other hand you have deluded conservatives cheering on the very same thing. It’s maddening.
Finally, Trump seriously screwed us over by flaking out and fucking this up so royally. Not only did he fail to accomplish anything other than pissing off the left, but he may have made it next to impossible for the American people to ever elect a president that actually has the political will and intention to do this for real. Of the few operations that were conducted before the capitulation, too many were unnecessarily violent and far too public. The press never should have been invited to broadcast those operations. It’s like putting out a fire with gasoline. Like, really — President Obama deported millions of illegals during his tenure, and the public hardly even noticed. That’s because he didn’t make a big damn show out of the affair.
Remember seeing ICE agents rappelling down ropes from helicopters in Chicago, all to raid one apartment building and capture maybe a dozen people? What on Earth was the point of that? The point was to appease the base. It was never about actual results. Sometimes I wonder, is this just another way he’s intentionally trying to destroy America? By ensuring that we are never able to deport the 10, 20, or 30 million people that Biden allowed into our country? It’s either that or he simply does not care.
That’s all I have to say at the moment.
